Day 1: Getting Started

Welcome to the first entry of our project, where we build our robot, "Heracles". We chose this name because, although he is small, he will be heroic! The project is based on this build by KDY0523: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3445283 Over the past few weeks, we have 3D-printed some of the parts needed. We also ordered needed components from AliExpress, and have brought everything to the lab. We started off by trying to assembling the first leg, which went well, and everything fit together nicely. We did however discover that we need to print some extra copies of certain parts, particularly in the legs. We also need some more screws (m4x25mm to be exact), and sandpaper, which meant we could not continue more until then. Overall this proved to be a solid and pain-free start for us, and we expect to be able to fully physically assemble it within a week or two, after which we can begin to look at making the code!
